It is very helpful to have additional ice packs so you can put one in the freezer and have the other ready to go. The pack is soft and you can shape it your shoulder. Freezes very quickly.

This wrap as a whole has been a lifesaver. The ice packs keep their temperature for hours, but having a backup makes it even better. I sometimes fall asleep with it on my shoulder and wake up feeling great.
